UK Government sets the pace on compute and Nscale are ready to deliver

With today’s launch of the UK’s national compute strategy, the Government is sending a clear signal: AI innovation depends on strong, strategically governed infrastructure. At Nscale, we fully support this direction and are ready to contribute to its success.

The 10-point action plan is not just a policy document. It is a blueprint for a thriving UK AI ecosystem. It backs domestic cloud and chip providers, prioritises responsible access to compute, and outlines support for the emergence of a UK-grown AI leader.

Crucially, the strategy acknowledges what many in the ecosystem have long known: that the UK’s compute requirements will grow significantly by 2030, driven by advances in AI models and applications across every sector. Meeting this demand will require deep investment, collaboration, and a long-term mindset around capacity, accessibility and control.

“Nscale strongly welcomes the UK Government’s compute roadmap. As the only full stack sovereign AI infrastructure provider in the UK, we are delighted that the Government recognises the importance of sovereign capability in this area. We look forward to working with the Government and our partners to deliver this ambitious agenda.”

— Josh Payne, CEO, Nscale

At Nscale, we have long believed that national innovation depends on national infrastructure. As the UK’s only full stack sovereign AI provider, we are uniquely positioned to help unlock the next wave of AI growth through secure, scalable compute.

We applaud the Government’s leadership in setting this direction and are committed to helping move the UK forward.
